*Valeting Tips ~ If you don't buy at least a couple of these, I guarantee you'll wish you had when you go to wax or polish your car! I can't stress enough that this is an 'essential' piece of kit - after all, what else are you going to use? People seldom think of that when buying waxes, polishes or dressings. These sponges are super soft once moist and efficient... firstly because they last ages, secondly because they help you to avoid wasting wax and cloth. More importantly they allow you to apply the wax/polish with accuracy! You can apply right up to the shuts and trim without dribbling polish all over the place. This is half the battle. We suggest that you get one of these for each wax, polish and dressing you have, and then pop it into a sandwich bag to keep the dust off, and attach it to the bottle with an elastic band (you will have to source these yourself, but we use the large red ones that the postman drops all over your front garden). A used one will dry out and go hard, just run it under the tap and wring it out to soften it. Because it has absorbed water, it won't soak up and waste loads of polish. Pour some product onto the sponge and rub it in, then apply it to your car. when you are done, just give it a rinse out with hot water - although you probably won't need to do this if using it with bumper gel, plastic dressings etc. These products do not wash out, and don't mix well with polishes and waxes, so you will need to allocate one sponge to each product. |
