EGP is a superior top coating synthetic wax made of a blend of resins, waxes and oils. It contains no abrasives or polishing compounds and so can safely be used on blemish free new paintwork without fear of adding swirl marks and micro scratches. So it's superb for brand new cars. It's clear, will not stain black plastics or leave chalky residue around badges, stickers and anti-stone chip coatings.
However, Extra Gloss Protection really comes into it's own when applied as a topping to AutoGlym Super Resin Polish which cleans, polishes, gives a great shine but can be a little lifeless for some people's taste. Applying Extra gloss Protection over the top not only gives extra depth and a wet-look shine, it also adds to the protection. (You have to apply Super Resin Polish, buff it off, wait 20 mins and THEN apply Extra Gloss Protection. They shouldn't be applied at the same time and buffed off together!)
*Valeting Tips ~ Extra Gloss Protection can be hard work, it takes a long time to dry and it can be difficult to remove. Applying after Super Resin Polish makes it far easier to remove. Using a slightly damp microfibre cloth also helps.

When used regularly, either on it's own or over the top of Super Resin Polish, it makes washing your car so much easier.. dirt and grime just fall off. The ability of this product to make water bead up and roll off are superb.
*Valeting Tips ~ It seems to have a rather high solvent content, which means that it is pretty good for removing tar spots and can also remove chalky residue left by other waxes and polishes that you might find around stickers and stone chip film. So its great for cars with stickers and stripes such as Mini Coopers. |

It's really easy to put on and once dry it leaves quite a 'frost' meaning you can see any bit you have missed so that you can go back and do them again.
It really does make your car very slippery and glossy, the car just seems to stay clean for ages, the very first time you wash your car after applying EGP, even if it is a month later, it will be the easiest car you have ever washed, the water and dirt just fall off - It may even make your car faster! (They don't put this stuff on racing cars for nothing!).
Suitable for all kinds of paintwork including metallic, water based and lacquered finishes - provided that the paintwork is fairly blemish free to start off with.
Extra Gloss Protection is one of those products whos life span and durability is greatly effected by temperature. During the winter we believe this product to last between 3-4 months, but during the hot summer months it may only last 2-3 months and require regular re-application.

Pros: Very glossy, very shiny, very slippery, easy to apply, makes washing your car easy. Doesn't stain plastics.
Cons: Hard work to remove, doesn't last very long in hot weather- little and often is the rule here. Does little to hide swirls and micro scratches, so for dark coloured cars see AutoGlym Ultra Deep Shine - but don't use Extra Gloss Protection after UDS because the solvents in it will remove the fillers.
